DR. WILLIAM BONANNO, DC

CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN

I am a hometown kid - I grew up here in Livonia, MI, playing pretty much every sport under the sun. In 2014, I graduated from Stevenson High School, where my spark for chiropractic ignited. I knew I wanted to be in this profession since seeking care from a chiropractor after a shoulder injury sidelined me during baseball season. After different opinions from different doctors, I put my trust in my chiropractor. After a thorough exam on my shoulder, he helped rehab me back to health, and went the extra mile to help me strengthen it to prevent future injury. It inspired me to have the skills to be able to do that for athletes in their sport and for people wanting to get back to their everyday life. After Stevenson, I went on to Western Michigan University, where I obtained a degree in Exercise Science in 2018. During my time at Western, I walked-on to the football team. In my last year, we became undefeated MAC Champions and went on to play at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. 

 

In 2019, I moved to St. Louis, Missouri to start the chiropractic program at Logan University. On top of the workload of school, I also took hundreds of hours of continuing education courses in rehabilitation, gait, developmental kinesiology, TMJ disorder treatment, disc pain, neuroplasticity, pediatrics, pregnancy, pelvic floor dysfunction, and neurology. I was lucky enough to find great mentors and intern for world-renowned doctors during my time in St. Louis. They helped me develop my passion for helping people get out of pain and teaching them how to perform at their highest level.

 

I also have a passion for golf, going to sporting events, or doing anything with our two dogs, Willow and Scarlett. Dr. Maddi and I love traveling and finding new hiking trails and restaurants all over Michigan!

DR. MADDI KARSTENS, DC

CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN

COREcpc Co-Founder

Hello, I am Dr. Maddi, the co-founder of COREcpc in Livonia, Michigan. Originally, I am from St. Charles, MO, and attended Southeast Missouri State University (Go Redhawks). I played Division I Soccer for the duration of my four years, conducted research, and worked closely with youth soccer teams in the area. After graduation, I attended Logan University, College of Chiropractic, where I was an MPI representative teaching students adjusting and rehabilitative techniques. I spent 6 months solely in the pediatric clinic on campus, finding my passion in treating kids. I continued coaching youth soccer until graduating with honors and moving to Michigan.

I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor after my team chiropractor in college relieved my back pain that was never understood by other providers. After shadowing my chiropractor, I quickly saw that he took the time to listen to all of his patients, and never set their concerns aside. It is my goal to carry on that legacy and help empower my patients to find the root cause of their issues. My niche is treating proper function, including women's health - especially perinatal (prenatal, pregnancy, postpartum), and pediatric care (starting minutes after birth). I am passionate about giving my patients the proper tools individually to help them be their best selves.

Always a student, I have completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in rehabilitation, pediatrics, pregnancy, pelvic floor dysfunction, gait, developmental kinesiology and milestones, nutrition, TMJ dysfunction treatment, disc pain, neuroplasticity and neurology.  

​

In my free time, I enjoy exploring the Metro-Detroit area's coffee shops and farmer's markets, exploring new places outdoors with Dr. Billy and our two dogs, staying active with F45 and yoga, trying out new recipes, and drawing.
